In order to achieve its statutory goals, the Polonium Foundation, including the portal poloniumfoundation.org, collects personal data that users knowingly provide to us. We collect only the data we need to conduct our activities. This Policy describes the principles of collection and use of portal users' data, which are collected directly from them or through cookies and similar technologies.
Your data is safe with us and therefore, on the basis of Article 13(1) and (2) and Article 14(1) and (2) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”), we would like to inform you about the processing of data in the Polonium Foundation and the rules under which this will take place.
Data administrator and contacting them
The administrator of the data collected in connection with the use of the portal is the Fundacja Polonium / Polonium Foundation with the address of Pl. Bankowy 2, 00-095 Warsaw, Polska/Poland NIP: 7010584408; e-mail contact@poloniumfoundation.org.
In matters relating to the processing of your data by the Administrator, you can contact the above address or the Data Protection Officer appointed by the Administrator at e-mail address: iod@poloniumfoundation.org.
Scope of data collection
1. The portal allows you to contact the Administrator and provide them with your identifying data, contact details, as well as those related to the content of the message.
2. The Administrator collects data related to your activity, such as time spent on the site, number of displayed subpages, date and source of visit.
3. To register for events organised by the Polonium Foundation, we use Typeform, where we collect data needed for an effective registration process. This data is administered by the Foundation and is accessible to a limited number of people involved in the organisation of the event. We also use the anonymised aggregate data to keep statistics on our recipient communities. You can read more about Typeform platform's privacy policy at https://admin.typeform.com/to/dwk6gt.
4. In case of registration for workshops, there is a possibility that in the registration form we will ask for your consent to forward your e-mail and affiliation to one of the co-organisers of the event. In case of such a request, you will have access to the exact privacy policy of the entity. We will not pass on your details anywhere unless you have given your consent, and the partner organisations involved will always be required to respect the confidentiality of the data and not to pass it on to others.
Source of data
1. If you have contacted the Administrator, the data is made available to us directly from you.
2. If your data was provided by the person who referred the matter to the Administrator in connection with the matter being dealt with, the source of the data is that person. In this case, the Administrator receives identification, address and case related data, such as a description of the case.
Payment for participation in our events
When you register for our paid events and pay online, in a new window you will be transferred to tpay.com service run by the Polish company Krajowy Integrator Płatności S.A. Their regulations can be found here. You must leave your name and email there - online fees must be accompanied by them. This data will also be sent to the Polonium Foundation, and we will use it to effectively manage registration to our event and confirm your participation.
Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data
Your data may be processed for the purpose of:
network traffic analysis, ensuring security within the Service and adapting the content to users' needs on the basis of the Administrator's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR);
answering asked questions, submitting an ordered offer and conducting correspondence in order to handle the matter, on the basis of your consent and the Administrator's legitimate interest in fulfilling the users' requests (Article 6(1)(a) and (f) of the GDPR).
Right to withdraw consent
You can withdraw your consent to the processing of your contact data at any time by contacting the Administrator. Withdrawal of consent may make contact with you difficult or impossible.
Obligation or voluntariness to provide data
1. The provision of data by you for case handling purposes is voluntary, but necessary. Failure to do so may make it difficult or impossible to process the case, enquiry, request, etc.
2. Providing data necessary for statistical analysis of Portal users is voluntary. You may use the so-called incognito mode to browse the site without providing the Administrator with information about your visit to the Portal. Using the incognito mode, and therefore not providing any data, does not affect the possibility of using the Website.
The rights resulting from GDPR with regard to the processed data
You have the right to:
inspect your data and to receive a copy of it (Article 15 of the GDPR);
require the Controller to rectify or correct the data (Article 16 of the GDPR) - with regard to requesting the rectification of data if you notice that the data is incorrect or incomplete;
require the Controller to delete the data (Article 17 of the GDPR);
require the Controller to restrict the processing (Article 18 of the GDPR) - e.g. if you notice that the data are wrong or inaccurate - you may request the Controller to restrict the processing of your data for a period allowing us to check the accuracy of the data);
file a complaint in relation to the Administrator's processing of your personal data with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Polish: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych).
Recipients of your personal data
The recipients of your personal data may only be entities that are entitled to receive them under the law. Moreover, your data may be made available to couriers, postal operators, hosting provider, mail server, on-line payment service.
Timeline of data storage
Your personal data will be stored until your consent is withdrawn or until the case is handled, and then the period of limitation of the parties' claims related to the case’s realisation expires.
Traffic analysis data collected through cookies and similar technologies may be stored until the cookie expires. Some cookies never expire, so the duration of data storage will be equivalent to the time it takes for the administrator to meet the purposes of data collection, such as ensuring security and analysing historical data related to website traffic.
Transfer of data to a third country or international organisation
Your data will not be transferred to third countries or international organisations.
Use of cookies and similar technologies
The portal enables gathering information about the user through cookies and similar technologies, the use of which most often involves the installation of this tool on the user's device (computer, smartphone, etc.). This information is used to remember the user's decisions (font selection, contrast, policy acceptance), maintain the user's session (e.g. after logging in), remember the password (with consent), collect information about the user's device and his visit to ensure security, but also to analyse visits and adjust content.

Information obtained by means of cookies and similar technologies are not combined with other data of the Portal users, nor are they used by the Administrator to identify them.
You can set your browser to block certain types of cookies and other technologies by specifying, for example, that only those that are necessary for the correct display of the site will be allowed. By default, most browsers allow the use of all cookies, but you can change these settings at any time, and you can also delete cookies already installed. Each browser allows this through one of the options available in the settings or preferences.
You also have the option of using the website in the so-called incognito mode, which blocks the possibility of collecting data about your visit.
Using the portal without changing the settings of your browser, i.e. with the default acceptance of cookies and similar technologies, means that you agree to their use for the purposes specified above. The Administrator does not use the obtained information for marketing purposes.
