WHO AM I
I am the Director of the Emigration Museum in Gdynia. An art historian by profession, I am a manager with 20 years of experience in culture. I am a curator of the contemporary art center in Gdansk, as well as an independent curator. I have worked on the development of major cultural events for the local authority sector in Gdynia and have been involved in drafting and implementing strategic policies and programmes. Plenipotentiary of the President of Gdynia for the Emigration Museum project since 2011, I have been the director since 2012. The Emigration Museum in Gdynia was opened to the public in 2016.
WHAT WILL I TALK ABOUT
What does the life and professional situation of highly qualified Polish women emigrants look like? Why do they leave the country? What are their migration experiences? What problems or challenges do they experience on their way? The answers to these and many other important questions can be found in the report prepared by the Emigration Museum in Gdynia in cooperation with the Inny Format research company and international patrons: the International Border Studies Center at the University of Gdańsk, Fulbright Polska Foundation, Girls in Tech, Girls Future Ready Foundation. I would like to share the experiences of working on this report and present shortly the conclusions it led us to.
