Malgosia Bartosik

WindEurope 

Malgosia joined WindEurope in 2004, working her way up from intern to deputy CEO. She is responsible for all business operations, PR and membership strategy. She was announced one of the Wind's 100 most influential female power-brokers, deal-makers and influencers in A World about Wind report. The Recharge magazine has proclaimed Bartosik as one of the 40 under 40, in acknowledgement of her key contribution in driving WindEurope’s successful operations, and a celebration of the decade of outstanding commitment to the development of the wind industry in Europe.

She is also Board member of the Global Wind Energy Council, RE-Source Platform and OffshoreWind4Kids, a new initiative aiming at offshore education for children. She is one of the co-authors of two children books Let the Wind blow (translated to more than 30 languages) and When I grow up. Both books help children to understand the issue of the climate change and the role wind can play in tacking it.

Malgosia is one of the city of Brussels Ambassadors, actively engaged in promotional activities of the Europe’s capital.

SHORT DESCRIPTION WINDEUROPE ACTIVITIES

WindEurope is the voice of the European wind industry. It represents the entire value chain of wind power: turbine manufacturers, component suppliers, power utilities, project developers, financial institutions and research institutes.  As the industry association WindEurope actively promotes wind power in Europe.  It engages Governments on policy and regulation that affect wind power and its integration in the energy system.  It coordinates research and development for the wind industry in Europe and manages the European Technology Innovation Platform for wind on behalf of the EU Commission.  It also organizes industry exhibitions, conferences and technical workshops and serves as a platform for networking across the industry and between the industry and other stakeholders.  WindEurope has 500 members from more than 40 countries and a staff of 65 based in Brussels
