The project involves organizing an international popular science and discussion event focused on mental well-being in the academic community, to be held in Warsaw in October 2026.
Key activities:
This project addresses the growing issue of mental health in the academic community, particularly among young researchers who face high pressure, international mobility, and career uncertainty.
The goal of the project is to create a space that facilitates the transition from identifying the problem to collaboratively developing solutions that support mental well-being in the academic community. This goal will be achieved by organizing an international popular science and discussion event dedicated to mental well-being in the academic community. The event will take place in October in Warsaw and will bring together approximately 70 participants. The meeting will be conducted in English and is aimed at the international academic community in Poland, including foreign students and researchers, Polish participants in the higher education system, as well as representatives of the Polish scientific diaspora returning to the country after international experiences.
The event will be structured around dialogue and an interdisciplinary approach, combining knowledge from the fields of psychology, neuroscience, medicine, and the social sciences, with the experience of practitioners. The achievement of the project’s objectives will be evident through an increase in participants’ awareness of mental health in the academic environment, the development of their stress management skills, and the creation of a foundation for further collaboration and the exchange of experiences among participants representing diverse backgrounds and academic career paths.
