Emil Albrychiewicz

SPP Meetup Berkeley 2023 Coordinator - Polish Club of Berkeley

Emil is a third-year graduate student in Physics Department at UC Berkeley. His work focuses on the theoretical physics of high energy and his supervisors are Ori Ganor and Petr Hořava. In very brief, he studies how string theory can help us to understand the world around us. His journey with physics started at Berkeley where he obtained both Masters and Bachelors degrees. Originally, he is from Poland, where he lived for most of his life. Being proud of his background, He is very involved in Polish Club at Berkeley, which he has been leading for the past three years. From the very beginning, he was trying to create an inclusive and diverse community that welcome everyone interested in Polish culture. In addition to physics, an important part of his life is firefighting. For over five years he has been serving as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. Recently, he started thinking about how he can combine both physics and firefighting to bring innovative solutions that will help to prevent the effects of global warming
